In an effort to close the gap in observations and understanding, we have designed, fabricated and deployed a long-term, real-time mooring system off the Washington Coast - collectively referred to as NEMO (Northwest Enhanced Moored Observatory).

The Oceanic Remote Chemical Analyzer (ORCA) is an autonomous moored profiling system providing real-time data streams of water and atmospheric conditions.

On February 11, 2016 an oceanographic observing buoy was deployed in Bellingham Bay, funded by the Center for Coastal Margin Observation and Prediction (CMOP), through its education partner the University of Washington and in collaboration with Western Washington University and the Northwest Indian College.
